CWDQ Homework - November

Bad Box

Death Penalty. (I can't help it that some of these blocks have such horrible names...)

Foragers

Lincoln's Telegraph. I had no intention to put a picture of Lincoln in my quilt, sorry good old Abe. And some of our class put in a picture of Obama, I'm afraid I don't want to sleep under him either, so a nice little flower is much more restful. G.

Poor little Miss T.

Little Miss T. has been asking for a costume like the one she wore at the "Zuiderzeemuseum", one of a "poor girl with wooden shoes". The latest Burda had a pattern of an apron in it, so with the ribbon I thought it would look a bit like a Marker girl. It'll have to make do. G.

Dresses for Christmas

Just in time for Christmasdinner at school.... Little Miss T.'s dress is finished. She's happiest with her new shoes however... It took me ages to make all the ruffles on the underskirt. But this really is a Christmas dress, so I'm very happy with it.

R. wanted the same shiny shoes of course...

A Box full of Surprises

A box full of gorgeous fabrics, what more can you want!! I wasn't expecting my shipment to arrive so soon, as the mailmen are on strike.

I had wanted to make this dress for little miss T. for Christmas, but found the fabrics at the Stoffenspektakel too expensive. Now that they're half price at "de Stoffenkraam" on the internet, I ordered some lovely purple fabric. Let's get started!

So I started right away cutting the fabric and sewing it. Hoping I will finish on time for her Christmas dinner at school next week.... G.

A new dress for R.

R. picked the fabric, the pattern and the bows herself. She's turning into a real teenager, nothing little girly about this anymore..... G.
