Gingerbread Men

I wanted to show my gingerbread men at our cross-stitch club "de drie steekjes", but unfortunately we couldn't get together on Friday (I had saved exactly three stitches for that evening!), so here it is. These guys were so much fun to make, I'm almost sad that they're finished. G.

CWDQ - Homework July

Arrest Order
Hateful Old Thieves (This is probably the last block I can piece myself without paper in the back. I really enjoyed making one of these again).
Visit to Town (the papier piecing pattern was too small... luckily I hadn't trimmed it before I discoverd that it was 5.5 inch in stead of 6 inch. I'm afraid it isn't completely as it should be, but who will notice it among the other 120 blocks...)
Confederate Flag
This block adds the total up to..... 101!!! I can't believe I have made over a hundred blocks for the Civil War quilt... Only 20 more blocks to finish!! G.

CWDQ Homework - June

Late Dispatches, Letters and Papers (I have used pieces of slate we found in France to hold the blocks down, the polderwind is blowing really hard today)
Sad Fate
Smallpox
Hand Grenade
Yes, I know it's August, but I haven't done my homework so far. I planned August free from homework, but now I'll have to catch up my June and July blocks. I need to keep working on this quilt, to reach my three year target. By September 2011 the Civil War Diary Quilt has to be finished. I'm still not sure how I'm going to quilt this monster-quilt, but I have a bit over six months to think about it.... G.
