Skirt

This was the last of the 'stoffenspectakel' fabrics for the girls. G.

Quick Skirts

The checked fabric has been in one of my quilting boxes for some time. My mother bought it for me in Haarlem, in several colours, so I could figure out which one I wanted for my quilt backing. Then a few weeks ago I saw the pattern for a girls skirt in "Burda"magazine, with the same checked fabric. All I had to do is find the matching solids at our "check-man" in Gouda. So the girls have a new skirt for a few euros and a lot of fun for mommy! G.

Now all us girls are ready for Christmas! Big sister is very happy with her skirt too. G.

M. and I spent another Sunday in our little sweatshop, but my Christmas skirt is finished!!

The pattern is from a back issue of Knip, that M. bought when we did not even have a sewing machine yet. She bought it for the Mart Visser evening gown in it (!!), but this "simple"skirt was quite enough work for me just now. G.

Little Miss T is ready for Christmas

I'm a bit afraid to publish these photos. M. and I were supposed to work on this dress together. I just couldn't wait for her to start. Sorry, M. (But didn't it turn out great? I made so many mistakes on this one, that the next one will be perfect... This was supposed to be a one hour project. I think I put in eight or more hours... hum....) G.

Two Happy Customers

After a day of hard work, M and I finished the skirts for the girls. With some remote help from M´s mom. Aren´t they lovely (both the girls and the skirts)? G.

What Did We Do?

We were supposed to buy fabric for little miss T.'s quilt backing, and perhaps some Dutch fabrics for my Sisters' Choice quilt. Somehow we ended up with all that and more. Now we have to make four skirts... what went wrong??? G.

Finish - Spot of Summer

I love these tiny Spots! So much that I hope to finish them all (four, one for each season) in the next couple of weeks. I ordered a Winnie the Pooh kit that has a moving deadline of approximately early November ;-). I'd like to finish that one before I go on holiday mid November.
G. and I went to Gouda today - our goal was to find purple gingham backing fabric for little Miss T.'s quilt. We were successful... and also decided on the spot to make little Miss T. and her older sister R. two skirts each. I fear our demanding, but enthusiastic customers would like to see these finished as soon as possible.
