Civil War Diary Quilt Update

Premium Prize. This is a block I just randomly picked from the book to add my total of blocks up to.....50!! After a year of Civil War Diary Quilt making I've managed to finish all the homework for our classes and a bit more. Two more years to go to finish this quilt!

A Bit of Holiday Fun

Another small project I did during my vacation in Germany. It's from Elizabeth's Designs. She always uses special stitches, which are very fun to do. And as I know one very special stitcher, I gave it to her... G.

Bookmarker

For my birthday, my friend B. gave me a cross-stitch pack to make a bookmarker. What a great project to take with me on holiday to Germany. I had so much fun with it! Thanks, B.!!

My Sister's Wedding

I finished this project just in time for my sister's wedding in Germany. She learnt her husband Dutch by reading books of Annie M.G. Schmidt, so it had to be one of the best known characters from her hand, Jip en Janneke. G.

Top for little Miss T.

Little miss T. had to wait quite some time for her top. With all the sewing and cross-stitching for the weddings finished I put this together in one evening. G.

Wedding

New dress for little Miss T. The pattern is from a Burda magazine from 1990. Her hair is braided by her aunt Mitsy. She felt like a princess.

My dress was a "handmade exclusive" too. We were at the wedding of my husband's brother at a lovely castle in Hierden.

R. on the sewing machine

Just before Mothersday, R. did a workshop punching on the sewingmachine. She was instantly bitten by the sewing-bug and went straight on to my machine, with great results! G.

R.'s new dress

This time I made a tunic and a pair of trousers for R. I'm very proud of the piping-band in the dress, made of the fabric I used for the trousers. G.

Finished Top! - Antiekje 1

First top I finished this year... any size counts I have been told by a wise lady. Only thing left to do... quilting... should be fun with a quilt this size. DB asked me what its use is... no idea really... and I have always been dead against hanging quilts from walls...

Summer Dresses

I haven't been posting much lately. I'm busy packing, we're moving on the 23rd! According to the movers I will have to pack at least 150 boxes.... I've done about 50 this week and even managed to finish these dresses for the girls, I need to have my relaxation behind the sewing machine every now and then.... P.S. Bernie, they were a lot more difficult than I had thought at first, sorry about that! G.
